As you move about the world,

Go ahead, share

What you do, where you stay, who you’re with

Update me on every thought, every feeling that passes through you

Nothing is too mundane, too trivial

Perhaps you’ve been mistreated? Surely you’ve been wronged? Has someone failed you?

As you move about the world,

Go ahead, share

What began as mild amusement has become pity

At first, I chuckled over your faith that we cared about your posts

You don’t know? We’re all wrapped in our own concerns, our own fears and hopes

Each post is but a mirror, you know

Your belief in this platform appears absolute, unfortunately

You think this space will exist in five years

You forget that this wretched patch of the Web was invented by the antisocial and disaffected

You forget that this “billion dollar” idea, this salon of anonymity, is but opiate for the masses,

Perhaps not unlike the invention of career, or the unimaginative striving for a six-figure salary,

Or the barren churches that separate man from the divine

But, please, as you move about the world,

Go ahead, share
